Wigwe University came alive today as the much-anticipated Freshmen Class of 2025 arrived on campus, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter in their academic journeys. The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Marwan Al-Akaidi, led members of the resumption committee to welcome students, parents, and guardians to the university campus.
The atmosphere at the Welcome Centre was filled with bright faces and boundless enthusiasm as students, parents, and guardians streamed in to kick-start the documentation process. Their expressions—radiating excitement, pride, and optimism—set the perfect tone for what promises to be a transformative university experience.
From the security checkpoint to the final stop at the halls of residence, the day unfolded with remarkable orderliness. The meticulous planning of the University’s Resumption Committee was evident at every turn, and parents did not hold back their praise. Many applauded the seamless flow from one registration point to the next, commending the team for their professionalism, efficiency, and warm hospitality..
For them, the smooth process was a reassuring confirmation that they had made the right choice in trusting Wigwe University with their children’s future.The students themselves were equally impressive—focused, eager, and ready to begin. Despite the busy registration activities, laughter and conversations quickly filled the spaces as new friendships began to form. Preparations are now in top gear for the Freshmen Orientation Programme scheduled for Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28, 2025. This two-day event will introduce students to the Wigwe University culture, values, and resources designed to help them thrive. Academic activities commence immediately after, with lectures officially starting on Monday, December 1, 2025.
