The Wigwe University (WU) Libraries support research, learning, and teaching at the University by acquiring, organizing, preserving, and providing access to and delivery of information. These libraries are designed to provide ongoing support and services to the university community in their research, teaching, and learning activities.

The WU Libraries comprise the Main Library; and four other College libraries, namely:

1. The College of Arts Library
2. The College of Engineering Library
3. The College of Science and Computing Library, and
4. The College of Social Sciences Library.

The Main Library, temporarily located on the left-wing side of the Administrative Building, houses the University Librarian and handles all the administrative and technical aspects of the collective libraries’ acquisitions, organizations, and distribution of resources. Each of the College library, located on campus within their respective College building, is designed to foster academic excellence and intellectual growth.

WU Libraries houses a diverse, rich, and up-to-date collection of books, journals, and digital resources carefully assembled to support the university’s mission in teaching, learning, research, and leisure. This comprehensive repository provides WU with a distinctive competitive advantage among its peers. To simplify navigation and retrieval, our information materials are carefully catalogued and arranged following the internationally recognized Library of Congress Classification (LC) Scheme. This system ensures that users can easily locate and access the library books on the shelf via authors, titles, subjects, year of publication, and publishers.
