Over the past week, Wigwe University proudly joined a transformative mission to France, organized by the French Embassy in Nigeria in collaboration with JR Farms Group. This strategic visit marked a significant step forward as we engaged in high-level discussions with key stakeholders, including the French Ministry of Agriculture, and participated in immersive sessions at leading institutions such as La Bretonnière and UniLaSalle Beauvais.

Throughout the mission, we explored groundbreaking opportunities in agribusiness, education, and entrepreneurship — deepening our understanding of global best practices and forging partnerships that will empower innovation across Africa’s agricultural and enterprise sectors. These exchanges have not only enriched our vision but have also laid a solid foundation for collaborative projects that span curriculum development, executive education, and specialized training programs.

As we prepare for the official launch of our Agriculture Programs & Research Initiatives and the unveiling of our state-of-the-art Entrepreneurship Centre, our commitment is clear: to build globally connected, locally relevant solutions that address Africa’s unique challenges and opportunities. By co-developing curricula with international partners, designing executive programs that foster leadership in agribusiness, and creating tailored training modules, we are investing in a future where Africa’s agrifood ecosystem thrives on innovation, sustainability, and resilience.
