Our mandate is to build the systems, visibility, partnerships, and infrastructure that make research excellence routine, not heroic.
We support faculty across all four Colleges – Science & Computing, Engineering, Arts, and Management & Social Sciences – to win grants, produce credible science, translate findings into impact, and gain global visibility. Interdisciplinary research efforts are highly encouraged.
What We Do
Fund internal research through the Wigwe University Research Seed Grant (WU-RSG).
Provide ethics review and oversight for research involving human subjects or animals.
Build research capacity through workshops, bootcamps, and mentoring.
Facilitate partnerships with industry, funders, and international universities.
Encourage Homegrown research efforts in line with the UN's SDGs.
Track and showcase research outputs via our open access repository.
