Over the past week, Wigwe University embarked on an inspiring and strategic journey to France — an initiative organized by the French Embassy in Nigeria and JR Farms Group. We were deeply honored to participate in this landmark event as we work to position Wigwe University on the global stage as a beacon of innovation, excellence, and entrepreneurial impact.

From high-level discussions with the French Ministry of Agriculture to immersive experiences with agricultural training institutions like La Bretonnière, our delegation explored the transformative power of education, apprenticeships, and community-driven agricultural models. These learnings are invaluable as we prepare to launch our Department of Agriculture & Agribusiness.

A major highlight of the mission was our visit to UniLaSalle Beauvais, one of France’s prestigious Grandes Écoles. Here, we engaged in meaningful conversations around impactful partnership opportunities, including:

• Co-developing agri-training curricula

• Launching executive programmes in agribusiness and agrifood

• Designing custom training for Africa’s agribusiness ecosystem

As we gear up to unveil our Entrepreneurship Centre, agribusiness and agrifood will be key focus areas — empowering a new generation of FEARLESS African entrepreneurs ready to transform economies from the ground up.
